Summer Mckinney Wedding Photography

Wow you guys. It’s July. When did that happen? I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. Today I get to share some photos from a fun summer wedding at Myers Park & Event Center.  Unfortunately, our wet June kept the couple inside rather than out in the lakeside gazebo, but Karri ensured it was a beautiful event regardless of location.

The Landing at Myers Park Event Center

Many of the guests came to celebrate from Nick’s original home up in Wisconsin. Wanting them to feel at home, and celebrating the fun side of their relationship, the bride and groom chose a Green Bay Packer’s themed cake. During the cutting of the cake, the guests made choices based on whose team jersey they wanted. The cutest flower girl got first pick and naturally chose the Aaron Rodgers jersey. Delight 100%.

Wanting a more permanent option to the unity candle, Nick and Karri chose to include a tree of locks in their ceremony. Starting with an iron ornament, locks are placed on the tree to symbolize the love that is going to help build this family. Both the bride and groom’s parents had personalized locks, as well as Karri’s daughter, before Nick and Karri finalized the art with their own locks.

Sunny Groomsmen Photos

One of my favorite parts of the evening, was the groomsmen photos. so often the guys feel a little awkward having their photos taken, but these 3 were easy going and fun loving. When I asked them to show me their super power pose, naturally they busted out a golf stance. Well of course, the golf hero, I forgot that one. We laughed all the way through.

The intimate wedding ceremony was fun, full of laughter and heartfelt moments followed by a fun reception where the smores and candy bar were huge hits. The main focus of the evening really was family and Karri asked that everyone who had made the trip was given the opportunity to have a family photo as a keepsake.

I hope that you enjoy the memories as much as I enjoyed getting to be a part of the wedding.
